Don't say that three times fast, because you totally can. Ten times, though? Forget about it.

Anyway, despite saying I would take a week off, I've spent the last two weeks working on the image below.

Keep in mind my perspective sucks as bad as my ability to use a perspective ruler.

Now, you may notice that the image is extra wide compared to all the others in the game, over twice as wide as a matter of fact.

Why could this be?

Well, as the game - for better or worse - tends to revolve around the happenings in this surgery room / entertainment room / bedroom, I thought I would put in a lot of effort to seem just maybe a little less lazy.  So now, whenever this scene is used, the camera will appear at a random x-axis within the room.

As you can tell in the pictures above, they are all the same conversation happening at the same time. What's HAL going to do with that bonesaw?  Who knows, that's irrelevant to this post.  What isn't irrelevant is the fact that despite being the same conversation, the background location is shifted randomly, showing only a 1,500 pixel selection of the new 3,300 pixel image.  I hope it has the intended effect of making this highly recycled location a little more lively and doesn't come with an added layer of confusion. (That was my biggest worry implementing this idea, at least.)

I tried to get all the details that have been mentioned in the game into this scene, but the rotary phone got left out. (We'll assume it's to the left of the far-left stairs since everyone exits that direction to use it anyways.)  In addition, the 'maze of pipes' was always intended to be the proscenium line and as such didn't get pictured.  Though I did throw in a few larger pipes on the far right just so all you pipe lovers didn't feel left out.
